All views of this Patient
Patient with history of recurrence of breast cancer in the right breast. She had previously undergone lumpectomy and radiation therapy on the right breast. She underwent surgery for removal (mastectomy) of both breasts with reconstruction with her own abdominal tissue sparing the abdominal muscle (DIEP flaps).
Right breast: DIEP flap breast reconstruction
Left breast: DIEP flap breast reconstruction
Postoperative views following immediate breast reconstructions (reconstruction during same surgery as mastectomy) of both breasts, subsequent second stage (outpatient) procedure and areolar tattoos.
Reconstruction result very similar to aesthetic contouring of the abdomen with a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and breast lift (mastopexy).
Improved contour of abdomen with intact abdominal muscles is visible in all photo views.
